The mpo was invented by Manuel Jalón. He was born in Logroño on January 31th, 1925 and he died on December 16th, 2011 in Zaragoza. He was an aeuronautico engineer. Althoughhe was born in Logroño but he lived most of his life in Zaragoza. He invented the mop and patented in 1954.

The mop is exported to over 40 cotruies including the USA and China.
